Beaminster St Marys

Welcome to Beaminster St. Mary’s Academy! We converted to academy status on the 1st February 2014.

This is an exciting time for us all as we look to the future. We aim to achieve great things: our staff, children and  families all working hard together to make the brightest future possible for the young lives in our care. In the coming weeks we will hold an opening ceremony and celebration day to mark the school’s new status. We will let you know the full details in due course.

St Mary's Church of England Primary School is the primary school for Beaminster, built to provide for all the needs of the primary children in this small rural town. The school is proud of its provision of excellence and strong community ethos.

The staff work hard to meet the variety of academic and pastoral needs of each child. We are proud of the achievements of the children in the classroom and through the wide range of activities, visits and residential field trips. The school promotes a carefully structured working atmosphere in which all children are valued. Tolerance, respect and understanding of others is encouraged. All these achievements are strengthened by dedicated governors and a supportive parent body, the St Mary's School Association. S.M.S.A.

 Our school endeavours to:

Give all children an excellent education
Value children as individuals
Encourage a caring, Christian community
Provide equality of opportunity
Encourage tolerance, respect and understanding
Create pride in our school and community
